Testing the Waters

Today marked the inaugural run of the sea kayaking season. Josh, Doug and I went for a paddle around Lake Lansing. I realized I gained about 2 inches in diameter since last year, or my life jacket shrunk…

No rolls were done – disappointing. I had full wet gear on, so I was kind of hopeful, but I wasn’t going to play that game until we were back near the park. When we got back, we sat around in the boats for half an hour, by which time the sun had set and it was a little on the cold side.
