The concert was quite good. His music is good, although as discussed on the return, it would likely never make mainstream radio and thus he will likely never be nationally recognized. I assume he writes more of his own stuff than the average country star type, which is another plus. Music written by the performer seems more genuine than something picked out of a stack for it’s ability so sell big.

Afterwards food at Bennigans, which although not really inspiring was good and satisfying. Pomegranate martini anyone?

Highlight of the night: Emily getting to see Chris’ crack when he bent over to retrieve his guitar pick. Me, missing it. I think we both think we came out on the winning side.

Low point of the night: Causing strife between Doug & Corrina. Well, I really can’t say as I feel that bad, but if there had to be a low named, this was it.

Thanks to Emily and her “mad phone skillz” for the ticket and invite.

Just to explain, I italicize concert above because of the venue. It was a concert, but it was at The Ark in AA, which is a smaller theaterlike place. This in contrast with a concert for Avril Lavigne where thousands of people stand around a mosh pit listening to poop run through an amplifier.

You’re wrong about the highlight of the night – I didn’t find it enjoyable. :-p

What the heck kind of strife did you cause? That’s highly questionable.

I’m glad you enjoyed the night.

I should have been more clear, but didn’t want to use names. That’s your D & C (or more properly, A & C), not mine. I was hoping that the order would be an indicator, since I use C & D for the other pairing.

You certainly seemed to have enjoyed it when you came and told me about it. I think there was some comment about old man crack. Which prompted several comments about old man fetish.

I did not say old man crack. And there’s definitely no fetish. L told me at work today, if he’s not at least 2x my age, he can’t be considered “old.” I’ve tried to find his exact age online, but can’t. I may well be proven wrong in saying he’s not old, though.

And sorry about the D & C confusion. I’m definitely used to seeing A & C, so the possibility didn’t occur to me. Should probably retract those questions about making out, eh? :-p

    He’s about 44 now… so it’s close.

I hear your C does such things though.

  6. brownbanana says:

Ew, does such things as what? If it’s what I think it is, it would be A.

Ehh, it’s a tough call. I thought it’d be funnier if the names were switched and my suggestions indicated A instead of C (mine). No such luck, though.

Hope you guys had a Happy Thanksgiving. 🙂

I believe what I heard was, and I quote: “She likes to make out with random guys.” And, that was all I was referring to.

Yeah, M1 thought you meant making out with random old guys, which is an A thing. :-p Mild confusion, that’s all.
