Pygmy Hippo

This is the best shot I have of this guy, the zoo’s Pygmy Hippo, in no small part because it resides behind a seemingly ever-dirty pane of extra heavy glass which also forms the side to the river / pool in its habitat.  The ability to crank the ISO of the camera up to 6400 and still get a usable shot also helped.

Picture taken with Sony a6000, SEL 18200 lens @ 159mm, f/8.0, 1/160 sec shutter, ISO 6400.

Look at his hairy ears. I never noticed them.
