CES ’09 Post 1

Notes thus far:

Got in at about 11am after considering taking a three hour delay in exchange for $300 airfare vouchers.

Checked in to the Venetian. The room is ridiculous. Separate level for the bed and living ‘room’ – pictures will follow. Three TVs, one for the living room level, one for the bed area and one for the bathroom.

Went to the show floor and checked things out, took some measurements on a prototype and talked to Josh back in Michigan. Had to run away before partners could find us an initiate stressful conversation.

Drove up and down the strip once.

Went to get a drink prior to taking a nap. Ended up with about 8, 9 or 15 drinks and no nap.

Went to Mystere on the corporate dime. I lack words to fully describe it, so absolutely amazing will have to do for now. If you’ve ever watched Olympic gymnasts, these guys are better (granted, it’s their profession, they get paid to train and do this show). Having it paid for was a nice touch, but I would have paid for it myself.

And now, @ 40 hours of awakeness is making me go slowly crazy.
