Arch Rock
Arch rock on the north end of Mackinac Island with, thanks to whatever influences in the lake, a nice variety of colors. Picture taken with Canon 60D, EF-S 18-135mm lens @ 18mm, 1/30 sec shutter, f/11, ISO 100

I’ve successfully watched fireworks from this lighthouse, which I highly recommend. Picture taken with Pentax Optio W60, lens @ 6.1mm (34mm eq), f/6.1, 1/20 sec, ISO 200
One of the tulip beds as we were walking back into town from the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island. Tulips are kind of delicate and don’t tend to last long, but I like their kind of clean simplicity. I think this is the last one from the Mackinac trip for,… Continue reading
Sugar Loaf rock on Mackinac. Seems I have a number of pictures that seem interesting from that trip. I’m betting I’ve posted pictures of this thing somewhere before. It’s a big chunk o’ rock that juts up in the middle of Mackinac Island. Of course, it’s a rock, so I… Continue reading
